Having More People, More like Jesus...what does that means?...

  • More people caring for one another - love and support and providing a listening ear.
  • More people caring for our children, helping with moral development (truth, justice, trust, respect, compassion, forgiveness, gratefulness, generosity and knowing right from wrong). It's kindness to children! We support Scripture Union and Chaplaincy programs, Religous Education and Day Camp all of which provides a source of support for a child's overall welfare and social and emotional wellbeing.
  • More people reaching out and helping our community (food banks, Op Shops, school breakfast program, donations to organisations like Redlands Community Centre and the Night Ninja's). Being attentive to the weak and the marginalised...being there to help!
  • More people helping people affected by drought, famine, wars and displacement, by supporting local and worldwide programs (e.g. Frontier Services, Tear Fund, Redlands for Refugees, Redlands Reset, Sarmaritians Purse - Operation Christmas Child, Christmas Bowl)...so much need!

At each service, there will be an opportunity for you to give in person. During every service, a plate is passed around then committed to God along with ourselves in prayer. 

We understand that each person and family has responsibilities, pressures, and limits. Please remember that by giving to the Cleveland Uniting Church in no way obligates you to continue donating. There are many ways to give to Cleveland Uniting Church and all are appreciated.

Giving During our Services

During our services, there comes a time where we collect our offering. Plates are passed around for people to place their contributions into the plate. If you haven't come prepared to give or give online, you can just let the plate pass by you or you can collect a laminated offering card from the foyer on your way in, to place in the plate when it comes past.

Once the plates have been passed around, the offering is brought up to the front and then we share a few stories of how we have seen God's work in our lives during the week.

After we have collected the plates and shared stories, we offer ourselves an all that we've shared, to God in prayer.
